Pengurusan STRATEGIK satu renungan....

Hakcipta GuruBashid

Organisation...

A social unit of people that is structured and managed to meet a need or to pursue collective goals. All organizations have a management structure that determines relationships between the different activities and the members, and subdivides and assigns roles, responsibilities, and authority to carry out different tasks. Organizations are open systems--they affect and are affected by their environment

SOME IDEA......

Strategic management can be defined as the art and science of formulating, implementing, and evaluating cross-functional decisions that enable an organization to achieve its objectives.

Strategy  is a method or plan chosen to bring about a desired future, such as achievement of a goal or solution to a problem.

The art and science of planning and marshalling resources for their most efficient and effective use. The term is derived from the Greek word for generalship or leading an army management - The organization and coordination of the activities of a business in order to achieve defined objectives.

Management is often included as a factor of production along with‚ machines, materials, and money. According to the management guru Peter Drucker (1909-2005), the basic task of management includes both marketing and innovation. Practice of modern management originates from the 16th century study of low-efficiency and failures of certain enterprises, conducted by the English statesman Sir Thomas More (1478-1535). Management consists of the interlocking functions of creating corporate policy and organizing, planning, controlling, and directing an organization's resources in order to achieve the objectives of that policy.

The process of developing a mission statement.

A wide approach to developing a mission statement is first to select several articles about the statement and ask all the managers to read these as background information.
Then managers prepare a mission statement to the organization. Then merge these statements into a single document and distribute to all managers.
A request for modification, additions, and deletions is needed for next along with meeting.
Lastly all managers have input and support the final documents.

Compare and contrast vision statement with mission statement.
